We teach a balanced seat riding style which can branch out into Dressage, gymnastic jumping, Show Jumping courses, and cross country riding and jumping.  We also do several unmounted lectures and clinics on a wide variety of interesting and entertaining topics during the winter months.  See our Calendar page for more information.

ONLINE SCHEDULING Program:  We have a very easy to use online program for scheduling lessons with all of our instructors.  Please call or email the farm to set up your first lesson, then if you decide to continue, we give you a login and password so you can set up lessons from your own computer.

Lessons are available every day and each evening until 9pm.  It’s easy to fit lessons in around your busy schedule.  The online system makes it easy to see when your instructor is available…or when you might try one of the others! If you’ve ridden before and are looking to fine tune your skills, we can help!  You must be capable and proficient in grooming, tacking and warming up your horse to have lessons with our Head Instructors.

Lesson Rates Assistant Instructors- Andy Armstrong

If you are a beginner, or have been in a “lesson mill” and want more of a challenge, but no more risk…our riding program is for you!  Our instructors are keen to share their knowledge and understanding of horses with their students.  We are here to provide you with a glimpse of what you really can do with a horse!  You don’t need to own or lease your own horse and we take students from 6 years old on up!

  • Private Half Hour lessons      $40 owned/leased;      $50 lesson horses/trailer ins
  • Private One Hour lessons      $70 owned/leased;       $80 lesson horses/trailer ins

Andy is a positive upbeat instructor who is exceptional at teaching beginners and making it fun! She can teach you how to groom, tackup and untack in your hour lessons until you are capable of doing it yourself!  Once you are proficient at the catching-grooming-tacking skills, you’ll spend all your time riding!  Half hour lessons are only available to those who are completely capable of catching, grooming, tacking and being mounted in the ring at your lesson time.

NOTE: We do not offer Beginner Group lessons.  When you are new to horses and riding, you need personal undivided attention from your instructor for safety reasons.

Horse and equipment provided when using a Bascule horse.  We will provide a helmet for the first lesson, after that, riders will need to provide their own well fitting helmet (and we’d be happy to help with selection as we have extensive experience in proper helmet fit) and hard soled riding shoes.  Riders are encouraged to have their own riding crop and gloves as well.
